Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone.
Soff Art Interior Design is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies or have visual, motor, hearing, or cognitive disabilities. This statement describes the accessibility features of soff-art.com and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
Standards we aim for
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We follow these guidelines when designing new pages and when updating existing ones.
Features supported today
- Full keyboard navigation, including a visible focus ring on interactive elements.
- Proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions on every page so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Accessible names (aria-label) on icon-only buttons such as gallery navigation and the language switcher.
- Touch targets sized to a minimum of 44 by 44 pixels on mobile, matching WCAG 2.5.5.
- Right-to-left layout support for Hebrew, with the document direction and language attributes set automatically.
- Language switching between English, Russian, and Hebrew that preserves the current page.
- Forms with inline, localized validation messages instead of browser-default tooltips, including a privacy-policy disclaimer checkbox before submission.
- Dialogs (such as the service-detail modal) use role="dialog" and aria-modal so assistive tech can announce them correctly.
- Page titles, image captions, and link labels are descriptive rather than generic.
Known limitations
We are honest about where the site does not yet fully meet our goal:
- A small number of buttons and overline text labels do not yet meet the 4.5 to 1 color-contrast target. We plan to update the brand palette to resolve this.
- Hero carousel images and some portfolio images lack descriptive alt text in our content database. We are working with our team to backfill alt text per image.
- A page-level skip-to-content link is not yet implemented. Keyboard users currently navigate through the header on every page.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) and common assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. If you encounter an issue with a specific browser or assistive technology, please let us know.
